SAM Futura.

A music selector and curator with a keen ear and passion for strategic community building, SAM Futura spent the last decade shaping the sounds and scenes of South East Asia and Hong Kong. Hailing from France originally, Sam moved to Hong Kong in 2014 where he helped build the electronic music community from the ground up via homegrown collective and booking agency Cliché Records. Together with three friends, Sam diversified and expanded the city’s electronic music scene, introducing fresh sounds to the region.

Sam moved to Hanoi, Vietnam in 2018, where he opened and served as artistic director of Northern Vietnam's first club Savage - a space which, under his leadership, quickly became one of the key venues of Hanoi’s electronic music scene. The opportunity led him to play around some of Asia’s well-respected clubs such as Zhao Dai (Beijing), Pawnshop (Taipei) and The Observatory (Saigon) to name a few, as well as local festivals including Equation, Karma Konkrete and Sónar Hong Kong.
In 2021, Sam felt a calling to relocate back to his former second home, where the years of experience proved valuable to him as director of Mihn Agency, as he represents a highly selective roster of in-demand electronic artists both in Hong Kong and internationally. He participates actively in projects with various PR companies around Asia to curate bespoke music performances to invoke an unforgettable customer experience, and has also curated background music for venues such as Carlyle & Co.

As a DJ himself, Sam has played for brands and organisations such as Kitsuné, Kapok, MGSM, Cartier, Art Basel, on top of his long-standing residencies at The Ritz Carlton’s Ozone and The Upper House. Sam approaches both selection and curation with flexibility and efficiency, and his ability in adapting to client needs allows him to collaborate smoothly with brands to create a perfect atmosphere for any occasion.
