Hong Kong Artist, Graphic Designer, Art Director and Co-Founded of dtby [Be There] Design Festival, Mildred Moonyan, exhibits her work for the very first time. In between her day job and collective projects, Mildred explores oil, acrylic, watercolour and pastel in her personal practice. In early works, Mildred used painting to express lustful desires and fantasies in reaction to a conservative upbringing. After an experience on psychedelics, Mildred dug deeper into the sub-concious motivations behind her artwork:"After my psychedelic trip, I discover why I painted what I paint. I used to love painting those beautiful women bodies because I am so insecure about my own body. I suffer with eczema since I was 6 years old. I projected my ideal female figure in my old paintings. Now I want to celebrate the human body with a more challenging perspective"
